Ex wanted in corrosive liquid attack on Oisterwijk woman

The police are looking for a man who attacked his ex by throwing a corrosive liquid over her in Oisterwijk, Brabant on Monday, NU.nl reports.

The 37-year-old woman was sitting in her car at her child's school when she saw her ex driving up. The man got out of his car and tried to open the woman's door. When he failed he threatened to crash into her.

The woman opened her window to tell the man to leave her alone. The man emptied a bottle over her, soaking her clothes and her car. The woman first did not realize what happened, but when the liquid soaked through her clothing she felt a burning pain.

The suspect drove off in his car.

The woman was treated for her injuries. The Netherlands Forensic Institute is working to figure out what substance the man used.

The man is known to the police and has a criminal record. He's been stalking his ex for some time and also threatened her with death, according to NU.nl. Investigators searched several addresses for the man, but so far without success.The police call on him to turn himself in.
