Toddler stabbed in Uithoorn home

A 3-year-old girl was injured in a stabbing in a home on Admiraal de Ruyterlaan in Uithoorn on Tuesday evening. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. Exactly what happened is unclear. All the police said about the girl's injuries is that she is not in a life threatening condition.

On Burgernet the police called on local residents to look out for a woman with short, blonde hair. She was wearing a brown-green dress, a gray vest and was riding a yellow bike. A police spokesperson told Omroep Noord-Holland that she is a suspect.

Witnesses told the broadcaster that they saw a yellow bike on Beellaan. The police confirmed that someone committed suicide in the area by jumping off an apartment building. The police could not confirm whether it was the suspected woman, but did say that the victim was a woman. They are investigating whether the incidents are related.
