Video: Man dragged several blocks by French car after street argument

A traffic argument ended with a 21-year-old Amsterdam man being dragged by a car on Ceintuurbaan for several hundred meters during the early hours of Wednesday morning. The incident can be seen in a video recorded by a scooter rider and given to Amsterdam broadcaster AT5.

The footage shows the Amsterdam man approaching a car with a French registration plate. According to the broadcaster, the car hit the man and threw him off his scooter and he wanted redress. Someone inside the car starts pushing and pulling the man. Suddenly the driver steps on the gas and drags the 21-year-old with the car for hundreds of meters, while the man tries to call the emergency services.

The car comes to a stop and the victim keeps calling the emergency number with one hand, while trying to fend of the driver with the other. The driver steps on the gas again, again dragging the young man with the car. The car collides with a number of parked vehicles and finally comes to a stop.

The victim escaped this bizarre ordeal with only minor injuries, according to AT5. He told the broadcaster that the driver spoke French and that there was a woman in the passenger seat. Both fled on foot after the car came to a stop.
