Suspects arrested in Amsterdam hospital assassination

On Monday morning the police arrested several people suspected of involvement in the assassination of 24-year-old criminal Isilnando Kammeron at AMC in Amsterdam on October 10th. All suspects come from Amsterdam, the police announced on Tuesday night.

It is not clear exactly how many suspects were arrested or how they were involved in the crime.

The investigators believe that Kammeron's murder was connected to a stabbing incident in Reigersbos earlier on the same evening, in which the Amsterdam criminal was involved. One person was injured. It is believed that Kammeron and his girlfriend were followed as they walked towards Holendrechtplein, where Kammeron was shot multiple times before the gunman cycled away towards Holendrecht.

According to witness statements, the gunman was a dark skinned man wearing a red coat and a cap.

Kammeron was a career criminal and had a long record of violent offenses, starting with a robbery on his 13th birthday. Most recently he was convicted in November 2015 for attempted murder. He stabbed a 25-year-old man in the chest in the Hoogoord apartment building in Bijlmer. The bloody victimm later stumbled into the Flierbosdreef police station. Kkammeron was arrested was arrested a week later.
