Pedophile sentenced to 3 years in prison for abusing 17 girls

The court in Dordrecht sentenced 43-year-old Danny D. to 3 years in prison and institutionalized psychiatric treatment for sexually abusing two 13-year-old girls and convincing 15 other girls to undress and perform sexual acts in front of a webcam, the Telegraaf reports.

Two weeks ago the Public Prosecutor demanded 7 years in prison against the man from Koudekerk aan den Rijn. D. was acquitted of rape, but found guilty of sexual abuse.

One of the girls D. was found guilty of sexually abusing is a girl named Lisa, who was 13 at the time of her abuse in the summer of 2015. She made news headliines when she disappeared from a holiday park where she was staying with relatives in Nieuw-Milligen, Gelderland in the summer of 2015. She was found several days later on a bus in Koudekerk aan den Rijn.

According to the Telegraaf, Lisa and D. had regular contact by that time and had met several times. D. lured her to his home in Koudekerk aan den Rijn. He was arrested after Lisa was found.

Danny D. is himself the father of two children. He previously confessed that he is sexually attracted to underage girls. But he does not see himself as a pedophile. "I thought it was only for babies and very young children, now I know that's not true", he said, according to the newspaper. "Yes, I went too far."

In 2011 he was conficted of making and possessing child pornography.
