Woman injured in Zwolle home invasion

A 63-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a home invasion on Ministerlaan in the Zwolle neighborhood of Ittersum on Friday morning, De Stentor reports.

The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. There was a knock on the woman's door, who opened for two slender young men carrying a bunch of flowers. They violently forced their way into the woman's home the moment the door was opened.

The robbers demanded money from the woman, but she managed to escape and run outside. A neighbor took her in. She sustained minor injuries to her arm.

The perpetrators fled in a car. It is unclear whether they stole anything.

A burning car was found in Olst a short time later. The police are investigating whether the two crimes are related.
