Twitter may close Netherlands office
Twitter is downsizing and may be closing the Dutch office on Amsterdam's Zuidas in an effort to cut costs. The company also plans to lay off hundreds of employees worldwide, Het Parool reports.
According to the newspaper, Twitter was in talks with Salesforce, Alphabet and Disney to be acquired. But all three companies dropped out, particularly because of Twitters high costs.
Twitter is therefore cutting its workforce. This could go hand-in-hand with a number of foreign offices closing, including the one in Amsterdam.
