Father verbally attacks suspect in 1995 rape, murder case

Ad van den Hurk verbally attacked Jos de G., the suspect in the rape and murder of his daughter Nicole, in the Den Bosch court during the last day of the trial on Thursday. Among other things, he called De G. a "breathing flesh heap" and creature" and blamed him for showing no remorse for what he did to his daughter, the Telegraaf reports.

De G.'s lawyer asked for a lower sentence because, according to him, his client was already convicted by the large amount of media attention. The Public Prosecutor called this "nonsense". De G. still faces the 14 years in prison the Prosecutor demanded at an earlier hearing. De G. is charged with manslaughter and rape.

The court will rule on November 21st.
