Murder suspected in fatal hit and run

The police believe that a hit-and-run accident in Schiedam in which 21-year-old Hamidou Laiti was killed, may not have been an accident, AD reports. According to the newspaper, the police are investigating the possibility that Laiti was deliberately run over while crossing the street at a zebra crossing on Laan van Bol'Es on November 6th last year. The police have suspects in mind, but the evidence is still being gathered. Three men were in the car that hit Laiti, according to the Telegraaf. The car crashed into a tree after hitting Laiti and the three men fled on foot. According to witnesses, they did not even glance back towards the victim. The car turned out to be stolen.
