Boy, 6, seriously hurt by carnival attraction

A 6-year-old boy was seriously injured in an accident with an attraction at a carnival in Reuver on Monday. According to the police, the boy's arm somehow got stuck between moving parts of the attraction. Employees of the carnival managed to free the boy and he was rushed to a hospital in Maastricht. His current condition is unknown. The circumstances surrounding how the accident happened are unclear. The police and Dutch food and consumer product safety authority NVWA are investigating.
