Police call for tips in Eindhoven attempted assassination
The police are investigating whether there is a connection between two separate attempts to kill a 34-year-old man from Eindhoven, the last on August 16th. On Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday night the police revealed some more information on the case in the hopes that tips from the public may lead to an arrest.
In the program the police revealed more about the vehicle believed to be used as a getaway car after the shooting on St. Petrus Canisiuslaan in Eindhoven around 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16th.
A burning car was found shortly after the shooting on a side path of the Orkestpad. It was a BMW 335, which was stolen from Van den Heuvelstraat in Berghem on June 6th. The police believe that the BMW was used by the shooters.
This is the second time the Eindhoven man is critically injured in a shooting. The previous time happened near Mierlo-Hout in June last year.
According to Omroep Brabant, the 34-year-old man is still in hospital with four bullets in his abdomen. He is being kept in an artificial coma.
