Body, injured man found in Oudwoude home

The police discovered the body of a woman in a home on Allemawei in Oudwoude, Friesland after responding to reports of a house fire on Wednesday evening. A critically injured man was found in the home's garden. According to the police, both victims lived in the house. The woman was 55 years old, the man is 59. He was rushed to the hospital with severe burns. The fire department responded to the house around 7:00 p.m. after someone reported that it was on fire. Once there, firefighters found no fire, but did find some smoke. The police launched an investigation to find out exactly what happened at the home. Investigators aren't ruling out that a crime was committed. "We are keeping all scenarios open", a spokesperson said to NU.nl.
