Baby formula thieves arrested in routine traffic check

Two people were arrested in Culemborg on Saturday after the police found a large amount of baby formula in their car during a routine traffic check, the police said in a statement on Sunday. The suspects were pulled over around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday based on information that the car was previously connected with theft. In the trunk of the car the police discovered dozens of cans of baby food and several packages of meat. The two people in the car, both Romanian age 26 and 27 years, could not explain where these products came from They were arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to the police station for questioning. The car and the products it contained were confiscated.
