Three kids hurt in Drenthe carnival attraction

Two 12-year-old girls and a 14-year-old boy were injured by a carnival attraction in Coevorden on Friday evening. Safety brackets on the ride came loose and all three children fell out of the boxes, Hart van Nederland reports. The three kids were taken to the hospital, the boy had to stay over night. The attraction was immediately closed by the mayor, initially only temporarily. The Dutch food and consumer product safety authority NVWA later decided to close the attraction permanently.
