Early morning Amsterdam shooting leaves one injured
A 22-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Amsterdam Oost during the early hours of Friday morning. He was rushed to the hospital with multiple bullet wounds. The police are calling on witnesses to come forward. The shooting happened around 2:05 a.m. on the corner of Commelinstraat and Pontanusstraat. According to the police, multiple shots were fired and the victim was hit "several times". The shooter fled in the direction of the Mauritskade on a scooter. The police believe that there were two people on the scooter. The police immediately launched an investigation, including a forensic trace evidence investigation at the scene and a search of the neighborhood. According to the police, the victim has a criminal record. His condition is unknown.
