Two injured in Harderwijk stabbing
A stabbing in a home on Houtkamp in Harderwijk on Thursday night left a 46-year-old man and his 16-year-old son injured, the police said in a statement on Friday.
The police responded to reports of the stabbing around 7:20 p.m. and found the two victims at the scene. They were taken to the hospital to be treated. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
Witnesses saw two persons flee the scene after the stabbing.
Officers saw a man and a boy walking down Hoofdweg that matched the witnesses' description. The two suspects were arrested, a 52-year-old man from Almere and a 16-year-old boy from Ter Apel. They are in custody for further investigation.
The police believe the stabbing may be the result of a family conflict. The investigation continues.
