Amsterdam thief steals Justice Minister's bike

Minister Ard van der Steur of Security and Justice recently had his bike stolen in Amsterdam. And despite being responsible for the police and investigative services, he doesn't think he'll ever see that bike again, he said in parliament on Wednesday during a debate on the police, Het Parool reports. The debate was about whether the police have enough money and resources to solve crimes in the Netherlands. The Minister said that there are "positive developments in the number of solved crimes", but had to admit that the person who stole his bike hasn't been caught. "The perpetrator has not been caught and I do not think that will succeed", he said.
