One injured in police car accident
A 59-year-old man was injured when a police vehicle crashed into his car in Amsterdam-Zuid during the early hours of Friday morning. The fire department had to free him from his car before he could be taken to the hospital, the Telegraaf reports.
The accident happened on the corner of Beethovenstraat and Apollolaan while the police car was responding to report of a robbery. The police car drove over the bus lane, with lights flashing but no siren.
The police car hit the 59-year-old man's car, which came to a stop about 40 meters further up the road.
The police officers were unharmed.
