Woman injured in Amsterdam shooting

A woman was injured in a shooting on Oude IJsselstraat in Amsterdam's Rivierenbuurt on Thursday morning. She was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, the police report on Twitter. A police spokesperson could not tell Het Parool how serious the woman's injuries are, but did say that she was conscious and able to speak to the emergency services. The circumstances surrounding the shooting, which happened around 8:30 a.m., are still very unclear. The police are looking for a young man wearing a dark jacket with a hood in connection with the shooting. He was also wearing a grey jersey and grey winter hat. According to the Telegraaf, the shooting victim belongs to the same family whose care was damaged when a hand grenade exploded on the same street last month.
