Busy evening rush hour expected due to storms

Traffic information service ANWB expects a very busy rush hour on Monday afternoon and evening due to storms hitting the Netherlands, especially in the eastern and northern parts of the country. Meteorological institute KNMI issued a code yellow warning for storms accompanied by hail, rain and strong winds. The warning is in effect for most of the country from 5:00 p.m., just in time for rush hour. ANWB warns that long traffic jams can be expected in areas with rain. The service warns motorists to keep an eye on traffic- and weather reports.
