Fights, insults, threats trigger 12 late-night arrests
A massive 12 people were arrested in 's-Hertogenbosch's entertainment area during the early hours of Sunday morning for numerous offenses, including fighting on the street, threats, assault and refusing to follow police instructions, according to the police.
At around 2:50 a.m. an 18 year old was attacked by an unfamiliar person in a pub on Parade. While reporting this to a police officer, the victim recognized two of those involved in his attack. These two - a 15 year old from 's-Hertogenbosch and an 18 year old from Vlijmen - were arrested.
Shortly after that a man was waving a large bottle of liquor and shouting at the surrounding public on the intersection of Torenstraat and Hinthamerstraat. The police arrested the man for agitating the surrounding public and used pepper spray when he resisted. The 26 year old suspect was already banned from pubs in the area, according to the police.
Several other people were arrested for trying to interfere in the 26 year old's arrest. They are accused of interfering with an arrest, insulting the police and/or refusing to follow the police's instruction to vacate the area.
Immediately after that a bystander summoned the police due to a fight on Parade. At the scene officers found a victim completely covered in blood and being supported by bystanders. Witnesses reported that he was assaulted.
Bystanders pointed out the suspected assaulter and pub employees grabbed him. The man fought back and the police intervened. During the commotion, the victim managed to slip away. The police call on the victim to report to the police.
