Temps set to top 25 degrees in first summery day
What a difference a week can make weather wise. Last week the Netherlands celebrated its coldest King's Day ever. Yesterday was the sunniest Liberation Day in history. And today the country can expect its first summery day, with afternoon temperatures around 25 degrees, RTL reports.
The broadcaster attributes the sudden change in weather to the wind turning. An east wind brings a supply of dry, hot air from inland Europe, with high temperatures as an result.
The nice weather will hold through the weekend, with sunshine and temperatures well into 20 degrees expected for Saturday and Sunday.
From Tuesday it will be more cloudy. Lower temperatures and the occasional thunderstorm are expected.
