Four hurt in twelve-care pileup on Amsterdam highway

Four people and a dog were injured in a 12-car pileup at the Amsterdam Sloten exit on the A4 on Sunday afternoon. The injured people were taken to a hospital and the dog to a veterinary clinic, NU.nl reports. The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. According to the police, the accident actually involved three collisions. It started with three cars colliding with one another. This led to other motorists braking, and five cars crashing into each other. In the traffic jam shortly behind the accident, another four cars collided.
