Keukenhof opens with “Golden Age” theme, Delft blue floral arrangements

The Keukenhof garden park opens its doors on Thursday with "The Golden Age" as theme and large Delft blue floral mosaic arrangements as extra attraction. Over the past three months 40 gardeners planted 7 million flower bulbs in Keukenhof, according to Telegraaf. They are now ready to be enjoyed by the public. Half of them are tulips, no less than 800 species. This year Keukenhof is celebrating the Golden Age. Four hundred years ago the Netherlands flourished with global trade. It was also during this time that the tulip came to the country. This is the 67th year Keukenhof is open. In that time nearly 50 million people visited the park. Keukenhof will be open until May 16th.
