Fugitive Dutch pedophile deported from Cambodia to Belgium
A Dutchman arrested in Cambodia on Friday based on a conviction on child sexual abuse and child pornography, was deported to Belgium on Thursday morning. He is now in custody and will serve the prison sentence the Belgian court imposed on him, AD reports.
Pieter Ceulen fled Belgium in January, just days before the court sentenced him to 19 years in prison for sexually abusing children in the Philippines and Cambodia and spreading child pornography.
According to the newspaper, Ceulen fled to Siem Reap in Cambodia, but still felt unsafe. He turned himself in to the police after his lawyers made a deal with the authorities. Exactly what the deal entailed is unclear.
