Security camera gives new leads in severed head case

The person who put Nabil Amzieb's head in front of a shisha lounge in Amsterdam last week, was filmed on surveillance camera. The Amsterdam police are calling on the person to turn himself in, news wire ANP reports. Initially the police stated that the footage will be made public if the person involved does not come forward. But it is up to the Public Prosecutor to decide whether or not to do so. The police did not say whether the footage clearly shows the perpetrator. "We will make no further announcements about the content of the footage", a spokesperson said to NU.nl. Amzieb's severed head was found in front of Fayrouz lounge on Amstelveenseweg on Wednesday, March 9th. His decapitated body was found the day before in a burnt out Volkswagen Caddy. The police also linked a second burnt out vehicle, found on the morning the head was found, to this crime.
