Dutch kids’ chat site at focus in Belgium child abuse case

Dutch kids' chat site Kinderchat.nl is part of a Belgian child sexual abuse case involving a 12 year old girl and a Dutch loverboy, Dutch newspaper AD reports. According to the newspaper, the Belgian judiciary is currently investigating the girl's statements. She had a profile on Kinderchat.nl for months. Her profile showed her real name, her address, and telephone number, along with a picture of her showing her breasts. The girl told the authorities that she was under the spell of a Dutch loverboy and had sex with multiple customers between September last year and February, often skipping school or running away from home to do so. The last time was in mid-February. She was taken to Westerlo where she had sex with three men in a camper. Afterwards she was given a few euros and dropped off in her parent's neighborhood by a car with a Dutch license. Bass Jobsen, owner and administrator of the site, is shocked and saddened by this case. "We try to remove content once it is reported. This happens automatically, but an account is only deleted after five to ten reports", he said to the newspaper. Jobsen is thinking about closing the site. "The site is intended for children to innocently chat with each others, but once again pedophiles find it."
