Fire in ABN Amro’s Amsterdam headquarters
A small fire broke out in the ABN Amro headquarters on Zuidas in Amsterdam on Sunday night. About 30 people were working in the building when the fire started. They were evacuated and no one was injured, Het Parool reports.
The fire started in a technical area on the sixth floor of the building. The sprinkler system kicked in and the fire was mostly under control when the fire department arrived, a spokesperson said to the newspaper.
According to the fire department, the technical area sustained material damage, but also smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is still unclear.
