Migrants found stowed away in refrigerated truck cargo

Three undocumented migrants were discovered hiding in a Portuguese refrigerated truck at the Hazeldonk border crossing in Breda on Tuesday morning. The police believe that the men, two Iraqis and one Iranian, sneaked into the truck at a resting place in Lille, France. According to the police, the Spanish truck driver and his Portuguese co-driver wanted to switch places at the border crossing around 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning when they heard a clattering in the truck's cargo area and called the police. When officers searched the truck, they found the three men hiding behind the vegetable crates. They were taken to the asylum registration center. They were not carrying any form of identity documents, so their identities are still unknown. The driver and his co-driver were released after questioning and continued their journey to Etten-Leur.
