More high winds expected around evening rush hour

A code yellow weather warning for strong winds throughout the Netherlands was issued for Tuesday evening. The warning takes affect at 6:00 p.m. and will remain in effect for 12 hours. According to the KNMI, the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, winds may reach speeds of between 90 and 110 kilometers per hour along the coast and between 75 and 90 km/h further inland. Tuesday is expected to be rainy and cool, with maximum temperatures reaching around 14 degrees. The rainy weather will last throughout the week, with temperatures dropping to single digits around the weekend.
