War crimes suspect extradited to Bosnia on murder, torture accusation

A 45 year old man suspected of war crimes in the Balkans in the 90's, was extradited to Bosnia on the Public Prosecutor announced. In Bosnia the man stands accused of killing two people and torturing and robbing prisoners. According to the Public Prosecutor, the man is of Bosnian nationality and was living in Spijkenisse. The International Crimes Team in the Netherlands arrested him on May 8th last year and he had been imprisoned in the Extradition Detention Center up until his extradition. On Monday the Koninklijke Marechaussee, Royal Military Police, handed him over to two officials of the Bosnian police. The man was flown to Sarajevo where he will face trial for war crimes committed during the Bosnian civil war between 1992 and 1995.
