“Too slow” driving led to brawl leaving one dead
A road side brawl on the Grote Stern in Rozenburg on Tuesday night ended with one man dead and three people arrested. It seems that the fight started because the deceased man was angry that one of the other parties was driving too slow.
One of the arrested persons said this in a statement to the police, AD reports.
The police are still investigating exactly what happened, but so far it looks like road rage that turned into a fight.
According to the police, the deceased man - a 54 year old from Rozenburg - got into a quarrel with another driver, a 27 year old man, and his 26 year old girlfriend around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday. The police were called in a short time later.
When they arrived at the scene, around 11:00 p.m., they found one man being held down by others and about 15 bystanders. The man was unconscious. The police started CPR, which ambulance workers took over, but their efforts were in vain. The man died at the scene, shortly before midnight.
The 27 year old man and his girlfriend, as well as a 50 year old man were arrested. The police are questioning them to find out what happen. The police are also speaking to witnesses.
