Third dead baby linked to troubled Alkmaar mother

Yasmine M., the 31-year-old-mother of the two dead babies found in Heerhugowaard early last month, has been connected to another dead baby. This baby's corpse was found in Rekerhoutpark in Alkmaar on December 3rd last year. A DNA test revealed that M.' is this baby's mother too, AD reports. One local resident told the newspaper that M. herself took part in the silent procession for dead baby "Angel". Yasmine M. was arrested on Wednesday after DNA tests showed that she is the mother of the two dead babies found in Heerhugowaard, the first found on October 8th the second found during the police investigation. Since the arrest, the police have slowly and carefully been questioning M. M.'s brother Timo van de Lustgraaf told the newspaper that Yasmine grew up in a strange situation. She was born in Den Helder and has an older sister, whose been living on Curacao for years. When Yasmine was a toddler, her mother started a relationship with another woman, Timo's mother. "I grew up with Yasmine. She's my stepsister, but I see her as my sister", he said. She has been in a relationship with unemployed Daniel van der Wekken, according to the brother. They lived together in a flat in Alkmaar. Daniel van der Wekken is not seen as a suspect, the police told AD. In an interview last week he stated that he has nothing to do with the case and did not know that anything was going on until the police arrested Yasmine. Yasmine M. has two other sons, age 12 and 8 years old, with two different fathers. They have been living with their grandmothers for years.
