Teen wounded in Amsterdam shooting

A 19 year old boy was injured in a shooting incident on Marga Klompelaan in Amsterdam on Thursday night. He was taken to a hospital and discharged after treatment. According to the police, the victim is "known to the police". Exactly what that entails is unclear. The wounded teenager has filed a report at the police station. The shooting happened just before midnight on Thursday. The victim was fired upon right after arriving at a house on the street. The gunman fled via Fruele Wittewaalpad after the shooting. A short time later the police discovered a burning car in a parking lot on Suze Groenewegplantsoen. A forensic team is investigating to determine whether the car is linked to the shooting. The police are looking for witnesses of the shooting or the car arson.
