Amsterdam shooting victim suspect in 2013 murder

The teenager that was wounded in the shooting on Marga Klompelaan in Amsterdam on Thursday night, is 19 year old Semih K. He one of several suspect in the 2013 murder of 35 year old Omar Kourrich, AT5 reports based on anonymous sources. Passersby found Kourrich burned and bound body near the Tjeukermeer in Friesland on June 20th, 2013. It is believed that he was murdered in a shop in Amsterdam. The Prosecutor considered K.'s father, Engin K. the prime suspect in the murder. According to AT5, Engin K. had a conflict with Kourrich, who owned a cigar shop below Engin K.'s home on Burgemeester van Leeuwenlaan. Engin K. died in custody last year. Semih K. was arrested and then released after the murder. He was arrested again after another suspect, who was arrested in Denmark and extradited to the Netherlands, made an incriminating statement against him. Semih K. was released again in June after he made statements against another suspect in the case, according to AT5. Local residents told the news agency that the perpetrator of Thursday night's shooting was waiting for K. as he came home from work. K. lives with his mother and younger brother. Three shots were fired and K. suffered a glancing blow to the head, according to the residents.
