Telegraaf pulls the plug on fmr. free daily newspaper Spits

The Telegraaf Media Group is pulling the plug on news site Spits. The website survived the free Spits newspaper for slightly more than a year - the free newspaper was disappeared into Metro in October last year. The Telegraaf Media Group Publishing-Director Harry de Wit broke this news in an interview with Adformatie, saying that the Group wants to focus more on its core brands. The Spits website confirmed it on the site. "TMG wants to focus more on the core brands, which Spitsnieuws apparently is not part of. On December 1st the curtain finally falls for the news site."
