Train delays likely in Utrecht through much of 2016

The upgrades to the tracks surrounding Utrecht Central Station is likely to cause delays throughout 2016. ProRail has been working on this project over the past two years and the final stage will start next year. On their website ProRail states that they are doing everything they can to minimize the inconvenience to travelers as much as possible. This includes mostly working at night, over weekends and during the holidays. Travelers will however still have to take longer traveling times, more frequent changes, crowded trains and having to travel by bus into account. The company promises to, along with NS, keep travelers updated on delays with timely information.
