Prison stabbing turns deadly, 82 year-old inmate killed

An 82 year old inmate was killed in a stabbing in the Zoetermeer prison on Sunday afternoon. The culprit, a 25 year old fellow inmate, was detained by a SWAT team. According to the police, the incident happened around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday in the recreation room. The 82 year old man from Reeuwijk died at the scene of his injuries. The culprit, a 25 year old man from The Hague, locked himself into a room after the stabbing. He was arrested by a SWAT team in the room. The victim's family has been informed and the police are investigating the circumstances of the stabbing.
