Rabobank poaching ING seniors for board positions

Rabobank has found two successors for its departing chief financial officer Bert Bruggink, both currently working for competitor ING. Rabobank decided that Bruggink's function would be split into two separate functions. The two people who will no be filling those functions are Bas Brouwers, who will be the CFO, and Carin Gorter, who will be keeping an eye on the bank's risks, NOS reports. The appointments still have to be approved by the regulators. Gorter, who previously worked for Rabobank in the 90's, is currently a commissioner for the ING group. Brouwers is the chief financial officer for ING Nederland. ING commissioner Jeroen van der Veer thanked both Brouwers and Gorter for their services and wished them success in their new positions in a press release on Friday morning.
