Suspicious deaths of three family members lead to an arrest
The police launched a major investigation after three bodies were discovered in a house on Fazantendonk in Veghel on Tuesday afternoon. One man has been arrested.
The bodies were discovered around 5:45 p.m. after someone reported to the police that something may be wrong in the house. The police can not say anything about the identity of the victims yet, only that there were two adults and one child. And that the police believe they are related.

Local residents told Omroep Brabant that a Turkish woman lives in that house with her two children. They believe that the victims are the Turkish woman, one of her children and her mother.
The police launched a major investigation immediately after the discovery of the victims. Part of the neighborhood was closed down and ambulances and police vehicles were heavily present. According tot he police, a suspect soon came into the picture. He was arrested around 7:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the house. The police would not say anything about the suspect's identity, but they believe that he is related to the victims.
The suspect is in custody at a police station and is being questioned. The police also performed an extensive trace evidence investigation at the home.
On the municipality's website Mayor Ina Adema writes that she is deeply saddened by this terrible event. "Inconceivable and terribly sad. My sympathy goes out firstly to the families of the victims. The community offers neighbors the opportunity to meet in private so that feelings and emotions related to this terrible news can be shared."
