Arrest made in Rotterdam restaurant murder

A 30 year old Rotterdam man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of involvement in the murder of 29 year old Amsterdam man Hamdi Bilir. Bilir was shot down in a busy restaurant in Rotterdam on September 23rd last year. The police did not say what role exactly this Rotterdam suspect played in the shooting. This is the second arrest to be made in connection with this shooting. In July the Koninklijke Marechaussee, Royal Military Police, arrested 20 year old Ugur D. at Schiphol airport. The young man turned himself in shortly after arriving at the airport on a flight from Turkey. The police are still looking for the suspected gunman - 34 year old Cengiz Akin. He has been placed on the National Investigation List and is considered to be one of the most wanted persons in the Netherlands.
