Video: Sand castle hotel opens in Brabant; rooms start at €150

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to live in a sandcastle, it is time to visit Oss in Noord-Brabant. The second sand castle hotel in the world has just opened at the Sand Sculpture Festival Brabant. The first sand hotel opened in Sneek, Friesland, where a sand sculpture festival is also taking place. The sand castle hotel forms part of the festival's theme - a journey through time - and looks like a castle from the Middle Ages. The exterior is made entirely from sand. The inside has been reinforced with walls, which in turn has been covered by a layer of sand, Omroep Brabant reports. The hotel room is decorated with some small sand sculptures and is equipped with a bathroom, including a shower. A night in either of the two sand castle hotels will cost a couple 150 euros. This includes reception with a local delicacy, a personal tour of the sand sculpture festival, a full breakfast and wireless internet access in the room. Bookings can be made on this website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCD_hArxQVo
