Police investigate body floating in central Amsterdam canal

A body was found in the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam on Monday afternoon. Tourists saw the body floating in the canal around 12:15 p.m. and reported to the police at the Anne Frank House, according to Het Parool. The police investigated and found the body. According to bystanders on Twitter, the police have removed the body from the water and are performing a technical investigation at the scene. The police have not confirmed any details on the identity of the victim or whether or not they suspect a crime. Witnesses told AT5 that the victim is a middle aged man.
