Five cops suspended as more chokehold deaths are uncovered

Five members of a national assistance team have temporarily been suspended. They are suspected of possible involvement in the death of a prisoner. This death has many similarities to the death of Mitch Henriquez, the Telegraaf reports. According to the newspaper, the national support team - a specially trained team that is deployed during riots, rebellions or searches for dangerous criminals - overpowered prisoner Rinus Wolters in his cell in Alphen aan den Rijn in early June. The officers used violence to overpower the man. Witnesses told the newspaper that pepper spray was used in combination with a leg brace and possibly a chokehold.
