Eight names on Holleeder's hit-list
Before his arrest in 2014, notorious Dutch criminal Willem Holleeder had plans to assassinate 8 people. This is according to a statement Holleeder's sister Astrid gave to the police, according to an official report newspaper NRC managed to have a look at.
According to Astrid, her brother wanted to have, among others, Dick V., Danny K. and Dino S. assassinated. Dino S.' family was also in danger. Holleeder's list also included his sister Sonja, crime reporter Peter R. de Vries and a number of former underworld parters.
Holleeder is currently facing charges of commissioning the assassinations of criminals Cor van Hout, Kees Houtman, John Mieremet, real estate magnate Willem Endstra and pub owner Thomas van der Bijl. The next hearing in this case is scheduled for September.
Dino S. is also one of the main suspects in the so-called Passage process, revolving around the murders of Van der Bijl and Houtman. Remarkably, S. is one of the people that Astrid claims Holleeder wanted to have killed. According to the sister, a number of the people on the hit list still thought they were friends with Holleeder.
Astrid's lawyer, Holleeder's lawyer Stijn Franken and the Public Prosecutor all refused to comment on the leaking of Astrid's testimony.
