Overnight shooting in Amsterdam leaves woman injured
A woman was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Osdorp, Amsterdam early on Thursday morning.
The police confirmed on Twitter that the incident happened around 01:00 a.m. on Charles Boissevainstraat. They call on any witnesses to make contact with them.
Local residents told AT5 that about 4 shots were fired. It is unclear how many perpetrators were involved. Bystanders saw a scooter fleeing the scene after the shooting.
Nothing is known about the woman's identity so far. A trauma team provided first aid on the scene before rushing her to the hospital in unknown condition.
The motive of the shooting is still unknown. The police have cordoned of the street and performed a trace evidence investigation in the neighborhood.
