Drunk hedgehog rescued from the gutter
A drunk hedgehog was rescued from a gutter in Arnhem on Sunday, the animal shelter for Arnhem and its surroundings reported on its Facebook page.
A passerby found the hedgehog in a puddle surrounding a broken bottle of Advocaat liqueur. It seems that the little guy had followed in the footsteps of many humans before him and drank to much of the delicious liqueur, as he was unable to do anything. He did not even curl up at approaching danger.
The hedgehog was taken to a shelter so that he could sleep off his intoxication and recover from his hangover in safety. He will be released as soon as he feels better.
