Feyenoord fan cop assaulted outside competitor's bar

A police officer who is a Feyenoord fan was assaulted outside an Excelsior supporters bar in Rotterdam on Sunday. A 47 year old man has been arrested. A group of supporters were watching the PEC-Feyenoord match on television in the Excelsior supporters home on Sunday afternoon. The police officer entered the bar, saw the match scores on the screen and made a comment about being disappointed over the Feyenoord loss. He then left the bar. Once outside a man started shouting at the officer. The officer tried to calm the man down, but he threw his beer at the officer and punched him in the face. The man was then arrested by other officers.
