Trains between Zwolle, Almelo down this afternoon

Signal failures on a stretch of railway between Heino and Raalte, Overijssel on Thursday forced national railway NS to cancel train service on the line through much of the afternoon. The two stations are a short distance away from each other on the Almelo to Zwolle route. Passengers were advised to give themselves an extra 60 minutes of travel time. The disruption on the line is expected to be solved at 3 p.m.. This is the second time the exact same train line is out of order this week due to a signal failure from Heino to Raalte. Trains between on the Almelo to Zwolle route were at a standstill on Tuesday and delays rose up to an hour as well, the NS said.
