Possible Ebola patient examined in Nijmegen

A patient believed to be infected with Ebola is currently in the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen. The medical staff will examine the patient beginning on Friday, Dutch authorities said. A "specially designed isolation room" is in use to keep the unidentified patient separated from the rest of the hospital. There is no risk of infection for the hospital's patients, visitors, and other staff, the National Institute for Public Health announced on Friday. The patient was admitted to the Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem on Thursday, NOS reports. After an examination, the doctors decided to transfer the patient to an academic hospital.
